The City of Atlanta Private Property Merchandise Vending Permit enables vendors to sell permissible merchandise at approved vending locations. Vendors may download the form(s) below; however, the application must be completed at the Atlanta Police Department (APD) License and Permit Office, located at:

Requirements:

(1) Submit a complete permit application, payment and supporting paperwork –

   (a) Provide your name, current address, last 5 previous addresses, social security number, description of permissible

    items to offer/vend, site plan diagram with signage & power source, vending hours and location(s).

   (b) Valid state picture ID or valid work VISA..

   (c) Payment of $145 new permit fee as a cashier’s check or money order.

   (d) Valid business license, Tax ID, and State Retail ID with the City of Atlanta or a jurisdiction in State of Georgia..

   (e) Permit through Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness, Environmental Health Services Division..

   (f) Two character references with person’s name, address, and phone..

   (g) Submit valid, notarized Private Property Owner Permission Letter and completed City Zoning form to Bureau of

    Buildings at 55 Trinity Avenue, 3rd Floor.

   (h) Valid licensing agreement that authorizes sale of licensed, recorded or branded merchandise...

(2) Complete a background check and be fingerprinted by Licensing & Permits.

(3) Schedule site inspection with Licensing & Permits once approved. Property Owners/Event Coordinators must comply with inspection requirements.

(4) Assistant Vendors must submit application with $85 fee and a valid state issued picture ID.

Per City Ordinance, disabled veterans and blind persons are exempt from paying application fees.

Vendors must renew permits within one year from the date of the approved permit. The Private Property Merchandise Vending Permit non-refundable renewal permit fee is $145.
