The purpose of the Citizen's Police Academy is to educate the citizens of Atlanta about the operations of their police department while obtaining valuable feedback to enhance police and community relations. The curriculum may include tours of the 911 center, zone ride-alongs, disciplinary process, criminal procedure, crime scene investigation and use of force.

The Citizen's Police Academy is an eight-week program that takes place in Spring, Summer, and Fall.  There is a graduation ceremony at the end of the program.

The Academy will take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, September 10 – October 29, 2024.
