ATLANTA RECYCLES DAY OPERATES BETWEEN FEBRUARY AND DECEMBER EACH YEAR. THE EVENT IS NOT HELD IN JANUARY.

 

Atlanta Recycles Day is available to City of Atlanta residents for items not accepted curbside or for those in multi-family homes that do not have curbside recycling.

City of Atlanta residents may bring recyclable items to the Atlanta Recycles Day event that occurs every 3rd Saturday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at:

Greenbriar Mall

2841 Greenbriar Pkwy SW

Atlanta, GA 30331

(Access road in front of vacant Macy's lot)

 

Accepted items: 

  • Single Stream Recycling (glass, metal*, paper**, and plastic)
  • Electronics (NO TVs and NO Computers or Monitors with backs)
  • Tires (2 tires per resident)
  • Dehumidifiers and window AC units. (Must be a Georgia Power customer, limited to 4 per customer. Individuals should bring a copy of their bill or have their account number readily available.)

 

*Metal is not accepted at the Recycles Day event unless it is a household item such as tin or aluminum cans which would be included in the curbside single-stream recycling.

 

**Secure on-site paper shredding is provided at this event (residents are allowed to watch document shredding).  Paper for shredding MUST consist of paper only and be ready to be shredded (5 banker boxes per resident). 

 

Items Not Accepted:

  • Textiles/Clothing
  • Plastic Bags/Wrap

 

If your recyclable items do not appear on the accepted recycling list, utilize the Waste Wizard, click "Wizard" and enter the name of the item to obtain disposal instructions.
