The City of Atlanta Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Services, does not collect building material, construction or demolition waste. Residents and contractors are responsible for disposal of these materials at their expense. Refer to the attachment to view a list of waste transfer stations and landfills.
Construction and demolition waste means discarded building materials and rubble generally resulting from construction, remodeling, repair and demolition of buildings and pavements, including but not limited to:
- Processed wood
- Metal
- Bricks
- Concrete
- Wallboard
