The Department of Public Works provides single-family residents 12 free scheduled bulk pick-up collections per year. Bulk collections can only be scheduled by the resident of the reported location.

If an email address is provided, after the bulk collection is scheduled, you will receive an email confirmation from the Department of Public Works that displays your scheduled collection day.
IT IS MANDATORY THAT BULK ITEMS ARE LEFT CURBSIDE IN THE FRONT OF THE PROPERTY. If bulk collection is scheduled and the items are not in the front of the property on the scheduled day, this will also count against the 12 collections per year. If 12 collections per year are exceeded, the resident is charged a fee of $336.38.
BULK ITEMS ELIGIBLE FOR COLLECTION:
- Approved items must be in the right-of-way, not blocked by mailboxes, overhanging tree branches and/or powerlines.
- Household bulk waste includes large items (furniture) or white goods (appliances).
- Bulk Collection is defined as no more than 8 cubic yards (the size of a small room of furniture).
- If the items to be collected exceed 8 cubic yards, the additional items collected will be considered an additional bulk collection.
- Garbage carts containing debris may be taken if placed out along with bulk collection items.
BULK ITEMS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR COLLECTION:
- The City will not collect auto parts (including tires) or building/construction materials.
- Bulk is prohibited for the following:
- Evictions
- Vacant properties
- Items left by contractors
BULKY YARD TRIMMINGS:
- All bulky yard trimmings must be placed in a separate pile from household bulk collection items.
- Twenty-one (21) or more yard trimming bags can be scheduled as a bulk collection.
- The City will collect trees and branches NOT exceeding six (6) inches in diameter and four (4) feet in length.
- The City will collect tree stumps. Dimensions of the tree stump should be no longer than four (4) feet in length. If the cut tree stump fits in a paper yard trimming bag, include with the yard debris collection. If too large for a yard trimming bag, schedule bulk collection.
AFTER THE REQUEST HAS BEEN SCHEDULED:
- Bulk items shall not be placed at the curb before 7 p.m. on the day before the scheduled pick-up day.
- If bulk items are placed on the curb before 7 p.m. the day before, a citation may be issued.
- Scheduled bulk collections must be cancelled at least two (2) business days prior to the scheduled collection day.
- If your scheduled bulk collection is missed and is not reported as missed within two (2) business days, it must be rescheduled.
TOWN HOME RESIDENTS:
- If the bulk collection request is for a town home community, please provide the gate code in the Comments section when submitting a request on the SWS Collection Tool, if applicable.
