If a citation was issued for not having a business occupational tax certificate (business license), the business licensee must bring the business occupational tax account into compliance by filing the required returns, submitting the requested documents and paying all taxes and fees. Refer to the citation issued for details.
An appearance in Atlanta Municipal Court is mandatory, and all fees must be paid prior to appearing in court. A copy of the Business Occupation Tax Certificate (business license) and the submission receipt(s) obtained from the City’s Office of Revenue must be presented in court.
