The Department of City Planning, Office of Buildings, issues the Certificate of Occupancy (CO) or Certificate of Completion (CC) after the final inspections have been confirmed and all fees have been paid.

The process for obtaining a CO/CC is as follows:

After the inspections group has classified all final inspections as passed in Accela Citizen and all fees are paid –

• Applicant can send an email to DCP-OOB@atlantaga.gov.

• The subject line should show “CO Request for (enter permit number)” and include the street address.
• The body of the email should simply request a Certificate of Occupancy for the address shown in the email subject line.

Please allow 1 business day for processing and email response. Once prepared, the CO will be sent via email to the address shown on the request.
