Love Our Places, formerly known as the Placemaking Program, started in 2017 and re-imagines Atlanta’s public realm for people. It is guided by the City’s belief that our public spaces should be accessible, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and sociable.
With projects ranging from artistic crosswalks to beautiful bus stops to parking spaces redesigned as on-street dining, the initiative aims to re-design Atlanta’s streets through tactical urbanism. These low cost, high impact interventions are a tool for residents and community organizations to lead the changes they want to see in their own neighborhoods.
The program is managed by the Department of City Planning, Office of Design, Atlanta City Studio. For more information, contact atlcitystudio@atlantaga.gov or call 404-623-6585.
