If a citizen and/or company has caused damage to a City of Atlanta vehicle, building and/or property the incident should be reported to the citizen’s/company’s auto insurance carrier. 

The insurance carrier should be provided with the following for claim updates:

• City of Atlanta Office of Enterprise Risk Management (contact)
• Phone number - 404-865-8589
• Email address - ermmailbox@atlantaga.gov

If the citizen/company is uninsured or self-insured, please contact the City of Atlanta Office of Enterprise Risk Management directly.

The following information should be included in the communication:

• Confirm if a Police and/or Fire agency responded, the name of the agency and the report number (and if applicable obtain a copy of the police/fire report).
• Specific date incident occurred.
• Specific location of incident with the names of cross streets, nearby businesses, and/or an exact address.
• Description of damage done to City vehicle/building/property.
• Photos of damage, if available.
• Witness names, phone numbers and email addresses (if applicable).
