If a citizen and/or company has caused damage to a City of Atlanta vehicle, building and/or property the incident should be reported to the citizen’s/company’s auto insurance carrier. 

The insurance carrier should be provided with the following for claim updates:

• City of Atlanta Office of Enterprise Risk Management contact information
• Phone number- 404-330-6982
• Email address- ermmailbox@atlantaga.gov

If the citizen/company is uninsured or self-insured, please contact the City of Atlanta Office of Enterprise Risk Management directly.

The following information should be included in the communication:

• Confirm if a Police &/or Fire agency responded, the name of the agency and the report number (and if applicable obtain a copy of the police/fire report).

• Specific date incident occurred.
• Specific location of incident with the names of cross streets, nearby businesses, and/or an exact address.
• Description of damage done to City vehicle/building/property
• Photos of damage, if available
• Witnesses names, phone numbers and email addresses (if applicable)
