A recycling cart is considered to be contaminated when it contains items other than what is authorized for recycling, such as garbage, unclean food trays and containers, and grocery plastic bags.

If your recycling cart is identified as contaminated, your recycling will not be collected. The issue must be corrected to receive pick-up and avoid a citation. After the issue is corrected, pick-up will resume on your scheduled service day.
