When feeding the homeless in the City of Atlanta, you do not need a permit to give away free food. Permits are for food service establishments. Establishments are defined as public or private establishments which prepare and serve meals, lunches, short orders, sandwiches, frozen desserts, or other edible products directly to the consumer either for carry out or service within the establishment.

If you would like to reserve a park or greenspace for an event, please utilize the link below. If you experience difficulties with reserving a park, please contact the APD Zone Commander for the area where the park is located.

NOTE: If you want to feed the homeless or have an event on private property, you must have permission from the owner of the property.
