A “Citizen Complaint” of misconduct about an Atlanta Police Department (APD) employee may be submitted as follows:

Via the Atlanta Police Department website, https://www.atlantapd.org. Utilize the “I want to” drop-down menu and select “File a Complaint about an Officer”.

At any Atlanta Police Department facility. Bring a legible written communication or speak with a supervisor (Sergeant or above).

Citizen complaints should be completed within 180 days.
All complaints filed against a City of Atlanta Police employee are subject to the Open Records Act; therefore, the information may be released to the general public if it is requested in accordance with the Open Records Act.
