If you would like to resolve your case without appearing in court, your case may be eligible for resolution in the following ways:

Option 1: Online payment - To check eligibility, search for your case via the Municipal Court of Atlanta Payment Portal. If paid in full, you do not need to appear in court. Please note not all cases are eligible for online payment.

Option 2: Pretrial Intervention - Criminal Pre-Trial Intervention (CPTI) and Pre-Trial Intervention Traffic (PTIT) are diversion programs offered through the Office of the City Solicitor. Eligibility is determined by the City Solicitor. To see if you are eligible, please call 404-658-6163. For more information on the CPTI/PTIT Program, visit the Office of the City Solicitor website. If you are found ineligible for CPTI or PTIT, the Court will schedule a new court date and you will receive a notice in the mail.   

Option 3: Plea-in-Absentia (PIA) - This is an opportunity to enter a plea without appearing in person. Not all individuals are eligible to participate in this program. Your eligibility will be determined by the City Solicitor's Office. For more information on the PIA Program, search for “I Would Like to Enter a Plea in Absentia”.
