If the drug activity is in progress, call 911.
Drug activity should be reported to the Atlanta Police Department (APD) A.P.E.X. Unit which primarily handles narcotics being sold from a residence or business.
If the activity is ongoing, call the Narcotics tip line at 404-546-4245 or 404-546-2650. Activity may also be reported anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8177).
The time it takes to address complaints varies and the A.P.E.X. Unit has a specific protocol to follow. In general, after the search warrant is issued, the case may take a few months to a few years to go to trial. A cease and desist letter is sent to the property owner. If narcotics are recovered again within six months, the house is subject to seizure through Fulton County.
