All crime scene services are requested by Atlanta Police Department (APD) police personnel or the district attorney. 

If you have been the victim of a crime, call 911 to report it. The police officer on scene will determine what support services should be called and will request a crime scene unit if one is needed. 

Results of testing performed on evidence retrieved from crime scenes will be forwarded to the officer or investigator assigned to the case. They will answer any questions you have regarding the results. 

Crime scene unit personnel cannot discuss case information with non-law enforcement personnel. Crime scene unit personnel cannot disseminate crime scene photographs.
