City of Atlanta inmates can receive letters, family photographs, post cards, greeting cards, publications and packages through USPS or any registered carrier such as FEDEX and UPS.
Magazine subscriptions and paperback books must be purchased by mail from the publisher or sent directly from the bookstore.
Hardcover books are not allowed. Books or materials containing nudity, sexually graphic materials, or instructions on how to build bombs are not allowed and will be either destroyed or returned to the sender.
All envelopes should contain the sender's full name and address. The delivery address should contain the inmate's name, booking number, location if possible, and the address of the facility, which is:

Money orders and wire transfers will not be accepted. Any items sent through the mail other than letters, photographs, post cards, greeting cards and publications will be considered contraband and will be either destroyed or returned to the sender.
