Residents receive recycling service on the same day as their scheduled garbage collection.
If today is your scheduled pick-up day for weekly collection, please allow until the end of the day for collection to be completed.
If it is after the Department of Public Works’ normal business hours of 7AM – 5PM and YOUR RECYCLING WAS NOT COLLECTED, you may contact ATL311 at 404-546-0311 or create a request by completing the form below.

If you would like to receive weekly reminders of your collection day and other SWS notifications, visit the Waste Wizard, enter your address and select GET A REMINDER!
NOTE: Shredded paper may be placed in a plastic bag inside the recycling cart. Empty plastic bags and/or plastic bags containing anything else will result in the entire cart NOT being collected.

The City of Atlanta is not collecting for the Orange Hefty Energy Bag Program. However, if YOU would like to participate, you MUST take the Orange Hefty Bags to the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHARM) located at 1110 Hill Street SE, Atlanta, GA 30315. Please DO NOT dispose of the Orange Hefty Bags in your recycling cart. If Orange Hefty Bags are in the cart, the cart will not be collected until removed.
