NEW SERVICE:

If you would like to request new trash and recycling service, please submit the following documents:

  • Completed New Trash and Recycling Form (below)

  • Settlement Statement or Warranty Deed (Closing Disclosures/Statements are not accepted)

  • Photo ID

  • Certificate of Occupancy (for new construction only)

 

Completed documents can be submitted to the Department of Public Works through either of the channels outlined below.

Homeowners’ Associations/Groups: If requesting new garbage/recycling service at residences, clubhouses, pool houses, etc., submit completed documents to DPW at pwsettlements@atlantaga.gov for consideration. DPW will provide pricing, ability to service, and other factors such as quantity of carts. 

 

Once you have submitted all required documents, please allow up to two (2) business days for review and receipt of your case number. 

 

An incomplete form and missing documents will result in service delays. New carts will not be delivered if the property is or appears vacant. You must request when occupied. NOTE: This does not apply to buildings under construction.

 

Garbage and recycling carts are 96 gallons. If needed, while awaiting your new cart, only place up to five (5) bags curbside. Do not use a non-city issued cart.

SERVICE CANCELLATION:

 

If you only need to place service in your name and are not in need of new carts, please contact Fulton County at 404-613-6100.  

 

No actions are needed to cancel trash and recycling service. If you have additional questions regarding service cancellation, please contact DPW at pwsettlements@atlantaga.gov.
