The City of Atlanta, Department of Watershed Management's No Wipes in Pipes Campaign educates customers on the dangers of flushing baby, cleaning, and makeup wipes and the impact on sewer lines and wastewater treatment facilities. Although they may be labeled "flushable", these disposable wipes do not dissolve when flushed and can lead to millions of dollars in infrastructure repairs. Wipes and paper towels should always be placed in the trash for proper disposal.
