The Atlanta Police Department (APD) Open Records Unit provides customized crime reports, officer information reports, 911 audio, bulk incident reports, traffic video, and other customized information requests.
APD also provides case information on closed Code Enforcement related cases. A specific property address must be provided for all Code enforcement open records requests.
Cost
For all open records requests, an hourly fee, not to exceed the hourly wage of the lowest paid full-time employee who has the skill and training to perform the request, may be applicable. The first 15 minutes are free of charge.
Response Time
The amount of time it takes to complete a request depends on the information that is requested. Requestors will receive an acknowledgment phone call or email as provided on the request form within three (3) business days. For large fulfillment requests, an estimated completion time along with a notice of advance deposit will be provided.

Exemptions
Any records that you believe are in the custody of the Atlanta Police Department that are not related to a pending investigation are exempt from release pursuant O.C.G.A. 50-18-72(a). Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 50-18-72(a)(4) any document or material, other than the initial report, related to an open investigation or a case that is pending in court is exempt from release.
