The City of Atlanta (COA) will inspect and/or address issues that affect municipal services within the City of Atlanta jurisdiction and along public right-of-ways. Listed below are examples of matters that fall outside of the City's jurisdiction when they are isolated to private property. This list is not exhaustive, but includes:

 

(1) Private property owner approval in order to conduct flea market vending, food, merchandise, mobile food unit permit, service vending on their private property. However, the City does require vendors to be permitted. Visit the Atlanta Police Department, License and Permits Division, located at 3493 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway NW, Atlanta, GA, 30331. (2) Homeowner/resident requests an emergency water turn-on/off due to a burst water pipe located on private property. You may have an internal issue that requires the expertise of a licensed plumber.

 

(3) Homeowner/resident requests inspection of a water event that is isolated to a particular place in the home/business or to fix a leak or plumbing within the home/business systems. You may have an internal issue and require the expertise of a licensed plumber. 

 

(4) Repair to storm pipe that crosses private property without a recorded easement that denotes service requirements be performed by COA.

 

(5) Broken or leaking gutter and downspout.

 

(6) Low spot between home or property where water stands.

 

(7) Leaking basement and wet crawl space caused by property slope.

 

(8) Underground spring.

 

(9) Property to property storm water drainage.

 

(10) Gas leak (private property or public right-of-way) 

 

(11) Hot water
