Property bonds are approved at the Sheriff's office in the county where the property is located. The property must be located within the state of Georgia. Once the property bond has been approved, the Sheriff's office will give the surety, the person posting bond, a sealed envelope to bring to the Atlanta City Detention Center where the process will begin.

All parties listed on the approved papers must be present. The bond payer must bring two forms of identification, including their full name, current photo, current address, date of birth and signature (e.g. state of Georgia Driver's License or other state of GA issued ID).
