Applications for new occupation tax certificates must be submitted online through ATLBIZ. Prior to submission of an application, ATLBIZ registration is required. The following documents are required: (1) SAVE Affidavit (must be notarized) (2) E-Verify Affidavit (must be notarized) (3) Regulatory permits (if applicable) (4) Copy of a secure and verifiable document as listed in the Georgia Department Revenue code O.C.G.A § 50-36-2 (e.g. unexpired driver’s license, passport, etc.). Upon completion of your ATLBIZ application (including submission of all required documents and any applicable regulatory permits) payment of the $75 application fee is immediately due with the submission. The application will not be reviewed by the Office of Revenue if the payment has not been received. Acceptable forms of payment are Visa, Mastercard, American Express and eCheck. A zoning review and approval, by the Office of Buildings Zoning and Enforcement Division, is required for the business location. A $50 zoning review fee will be charged and must be paid to the Office of Buildings. Upon completion of the zoning review, the Office of Buildings will provide you with the results via a letter. If approved, the ZLA number (listed on the letter) and proof of payment to the Office of Buildings must be uploaded to your occupation tax application.
