An online request may be submitted to report someone possibly consuming water illegally or damaging/tampering with an installed meter or fire hydrant within the Atlanta servicing area. The GIS and related links below can be used to verify whether an address is located within the City of Atlanta service area or a surrounding jurisdiction.

NOTE: The Department of Watershed Management (DWM) provides service to some areas outside of Atlanta city limits such as Fulton County, South Fulton County, DeKalb County, Sandy Springs, College Park, and Union City. Locations in these areas are not verifiable in GIS.

The following information should be included in an online request:

   (1) Your Name *

   (2) Email Address *

   (3) Phone Number *

   (4) Service address of illegal activity, or adjacent address.

In the Customer Notes box, include

   (5) Detailed description of the location of the illegal activity. If submitting an adjacent address, please identify if the violation is to the left or right when facing the address.

   (6) Report details (description of illegal activities)

* NOTE: Information on reporting parties will remain confidential.

To submit a report anonymously, or to report residential water theft or fire hydrant water theft (see note below), contact the DWM Investigations Unit at 404-546-0600 or email dwm-investigations@atlantaga.gov.

**NOTE: If reporting fire hydrant water theft, please get a description of the truck (tag number, name posted on the truck, etc.). Please call the Investigations Unit while the act is being committed so an investigator can be dispatched to the site immediately.

For further assistance, contact Customer Service at (404) 546-0311.
