To obtain fingerprinting, visit the Atlanta Police Department (APD) Identification Unit located at 3493 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy NW, Atlanta, GA 30331.
Hours: Tuesday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM. (There will be a lunch break from 12 – 1:00 PM.)
You must provide your own blank fingerprint cards. Cards can be obtained from the company requesting your prints or the FBI website.
NOTE: Electronic fingerprinting will only be done on candidates for employment with APD. All other applicants will be fingerprinted in ink. Electronic applicant fingerprint submissions can be processed at a Georgia Applicant Processing Services (GAPS) location (see link for locations).
A $20.00 non-refundable fee, for two (2) cards, is applicable. Acceptable forms of payment are money orders or cashier’s checks made out to the City of Atlanta. No other form of payment is accepted.
Valid identification is required to process all services with the Identification Unit. Identification cards that have expired will not be accepted. Valid forms of identification include:
• Drivers’ license or state identification card
• Passport
• Military identification
• Immigration card (green card)
• Birth certificate with a valid ID
