The Department of City Planning (DCP) offers a range of online and virtual solutions for all your application and permitting needs. As of early 2020, all OZD services shifted to digital platforms. A special use permit is required when a certain type of property use is not permitted by right in a specific zoning district. Examples include, but are not limited to –

  • Daycare center

  • Personal care home

  • Outdoor dining within 1,000 feet of residential uses

  • Cell tower
