To obtain a commercial or residential swimming pool permit, architectural-pool details, structural and site plans must be submitted to the Department of City Planning, Office of Buildings. A checklist, detailing minimum requirements for submitting a permit application, and links to forms are available on the Office of Buildings website (links below).

Commercial –

Stamped and sealed architectural-pool details, structural, and site plans must be submitted to the Department of City Planning, Office of Buildings. Light Commercial –

Stamped and sealed architectural-pool details, structural, and site plans must be submitted to the Department of City Planning, Office of Buildings. Residential –

Architectural, structural and site plans must be submitted to the Department of City Planning, Office of Buildings. 

  • The homeowner may submit the permit application if the aforementioned documents are stamped and sealed.

  • The contractor must submit the permit application if the aforementioned documents are NOT stamped and sealed.
