Senior citizens who receive a City of Atlanta water and sewer bill are eligible for a 30% discount. To qualify for the discount program, citizens must: 

(1) Be 65 years or older
(2) Provide a copy of proof of age (birth certificate, driver’s license, or other valid Georgia ID)
(3) Have a maximum household income of $25,000 or less
(4) Provide a copy of proof of income, such as the previous or current year Federal Income Tax Form 1040 or 1099
(5) Be primary titleholder or leaseholder on the property subject to the bill
(6) Provide a copy of proof of residency (i.e. warranty deed, lease agreement)
(7) Receive the water/sewer bill directly from the City of Atlanta
(8) Complete and submit a Senior Citizen Discount Program Application

Customers currently enrolled in the discount program who wish to re-enroll must renew every two years by September 11. Renewal reminders will be sent to current enrollees.
