To renew your non-profit business occupation tax certificate and demonstrate that your organization continues to qualify for tax-exempt status, access ATLCORE. You will be prompted to enter your renewal application information. You will also be able to print your business/occupation tax certificate from the online portal.
 
If you have not registered for ATLCORE, you will need to register before attempting to renew your certificate. A valid email address is required to register for an account, submit a new or renewal application or check the status of an application. Instructions for registering and applying for an account can be found in the attachment below.
 
If you previously registered and you do not remember your email address on file, search ATL311.com for the article, ATLCORE – Update Email Address/Forgotten Password Assistance for Business Occupation Tax Account. The article provides guidance for changes needed to your email address, including linking your new email to the business/occupation tax certificate. 
 
The following documents are required for renewal submission via ATLCORE:  
 

  • A copy of your organization’s IRS determination letter, which was provided when your organization received 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
  • A copy of your government issued ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.)

 
If the business physical address has changed, you will need to submit:
(1) Your renewal
(2) Change of Address request via ATLCORE. Instructions on how to submit a Change of Address request can be found in the attachment below.  
 
NOTE: ATLCORE will not accept upload of a file name containing special characters (&,@,/, etc.).
 
NOTE: Businesses outside of Georgia must renew in each municipality or jurisdiction where the business is located.
