A street renaming and/or dedication application is needed if a citizen desires to request to rename a street name (a "street renaming") or dedicate ("dedication") a public place to a noteworthy individual or organization. The application should be submitted to the City of Atlanta’s Department of Transportation.

Submit your completed application to matai@atlantaga.gov, with “Street Renaming and/or Dedication” in the subject line. The application must be signed and dated. Review and approval of the request is a collaborative effort between the Atlanta Department of Transportation and Atlanta City Council.
