The City of Atlanta announced the opening of emergency warming centers at Central Park (400 Merritts Avenue N.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30308) and Old Adamsville (3404 Delmar Ln NW, Atlanta, GA 30331), and Selena Butler (98 William Holmes Borders Dr. NE, Atlanta, GA 30312) Recreation Centers.

The recreation centers will be activated on the following days:

•   Friday, December 19, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. – Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

Transportation will be provided by Fulton County from the Gateway Center, located at 275 Pryor St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30303, at 8:00 pm with return transportation upon deactivation. 

Activation times are subject to change based on the updated National Weather Service forecast.
