Nonprofit organization Star-C has launched a new eviction prevention program within the City of Atlanta.
The program is being implemented in coordination with the relaunch of a rental and legal assistance program through the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
The eviction prevention initiative is intended ONLY for current City of Atlanta residents and will prioritize aid for three demographics across the city, identified as being especially vulnerable to housing instability:
Residents over the age of 65.
Single-parent households with children in Atlanta Public Schools.
Households composed of renters under the age of 25.

Submitted applications are sent to a network of service agencies in your area. If assistance can be provided residents will hear directly from that agency in two to four weeks.
