The City of Atlanta Municipal Court announces a Warrant Amnesty Program designed to help individuals resolve unpaid traffic fines without facing additional penalties. The program runs March 17 – May 30, 2025, and the Court will have special hearing sessions/calendars for these cases to be heard. Individuals are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to clear their eligible warrants and move forward.
Only Fail to Appear (FTA) arrest warrants related to traffic offenses will be waived. There is no application process for the Amnesty Program. Individuals who qualify will be notified via USPS mail. Follow the instructions in the notice to pay any outstanding fines and resolve your case. If your notice contains a zero ($0.00) balance you will need to appear at the Court in person to resolve your case.
Individuals who did not receive an amnesty notice but think they may qualify due to a failure to appear for a traffic violation can inquire about the program at Court. Court will determine eligibility and provide next steps to resolve your case.
To check eligibility online and find your case, visit the Municipal Court website.
IMPORTANT: This year’s amnesty program applies only to traffic-related offenses. Code violations and other offenses are not included. This distinction is critical—only those with FTA warrants for traffic offenses qualify.
