The purpose of this outreach response assistance is to provide guidance regarding homelessness-related service requests during FIFA activation periods from Thursday, June 11, through Sunday, July 19.
General Outreach teams will respond to non-emergency homelessness-related concerns such as:
- Shelter connection and/or transportation requests
- Encampment engagement
- Requests for food, hygiene items, clothing, or other basic needs
- Repeat locations requiring ongoing outreach engagement
- Individuals occupying public space without active behavioral health concerns
With the goal of connecting individuals to:
- Shelter
- Transportation assistance
- Case management
- Basic needs resources
- Ongoing outreach engagement
Note: These responses are voluntary and service-based in nature.
During FIFA activation periods, outreach teams will respond to the following locations/zones:
- NPU- M (Old Fourth Ward and Castleberry Hill)
- Downtown Core (between north ave and I-20/northside and blvd)
- Major event corridors- Mercedes Benz Stadium, Centennial Olympic Park, and Woodruff Park
- Public spaces within designated FIFA operational footprint
