**Hansen 8664779 submitted on 6/11/2025 for Cave In/Sink Hole and is still open and noted that it was sent to restoration for repair. Please contact customer with an update** Customer Request: On West Wieuca, going west towards Chastain, before you get to Roswell Road (right in front of the property at 241 West Wieuca) the entire road is extremely uneven. It actually has waves and deep dips all across both sides of the road. It’s an accident or worse waiting to happen. It looks and feels like the road is about to cave in. I’ve never seen anything like this in all my years of driving. Approaching cars must slow down abruptly to maneuver through the ups and downs of the street. If a car is coming behind and doesn’t realize the car in front had to slow down unexpectedly, it could easily run into the first car. Often cars try to avoid the hazard and drive on the other side of the road (which also has the dips, but not quite as bad), but they are then driving into oncoming traffic causing another hazard. I’ve even had occasions where I slow down to maneuver the dips and someone not wanting to slow down drives around me on the wrong side of the road to get ahead of me. I know some neighbors no longer drive down West Wieuca to avoid this mess. I contacted the City about this last October thinking it looked like a sinkhole in the making and there might be a leak under the road.( I’m not an engineer. I have no idea what would cause it, just know something is definitely wrong). It’s only getting worse and worse with each passing month. This street has been totally neglected. It’s a major cut through road for people on Wieuca Road, a main street in North Buckhead, going to Roswell to get to 285, so it is heavily trafficked, especially during rush hours.( You can see the prior correspondence with the City from October below). I’m attaching photos. It’s hard to get good photos that show the full depth of the dips- but it feels like when you’re driving thru that a good portion of your tire dips beneath the road surface level.
