Re-Certification Notice: The Department of Public Works (DPW), Solid Waste Division, is contacting residents who currently receive backyard services to complete their annual re-certification.

If you have not re-certified and would like to continue receiving backyard services, please click here to visit the Backyard Service Re-Certification page, download the Backyard Services Request form and submit it.

Residents must renew backyard service by June 1^st. Backyard service will be interrupted if documentation has not been received by July 31^st. RE-CERTIFICATION FOR BACKYARD SERVICE IS REQUIRED ANNUALLY.
 

City of Atlanta trucks must be able to enter the driveway for collection and the backyard must be accessible to DPW personnel; otherwise, backyard service cannot be provided.

If your recycling backyard service was missed and is being reported after 3:00 PM the scheduled day of collection or within two (2) business days, an online request may be submitted below, or you may call ATL311 at 404-546-0311. If it has been more than two (2) business days, your recycling will be collected on the next scheduled collection day.

NOTE: All recyclable items must be place inside the recycling cart for collection. Shredded paper may be placed in a plastic bag inside the recycling cart. Empty plastic bags and/or plastic bags containing anything else will result in the entire cart NOT being collected.
