solution home » services » solution Account Holder Request To Close/Transfer Water And Sewer AccountAccount holders of properties, who wish to disconnect or transfer water /sewer service, may submit a request online or by mobile device via the Department of Watershed Management (DWM) Customer Web Portal (link below).If the account holder is deceased, mail a copy of the account holder's death certificate with seal and a copy of the water and sewer bill payment slip to P.O. Box 105275, Atlanta, GA 30348. The water and sewer account will not be closed until these documents are received. Note: Account registration is required to disconnect or transfer water/ sewer service via the DWM Customer Web Portal. To close an account:• Submit a disconnection request via the web portal or fax to 404.979.6787• Provide a forwarding address in the notes section To transfer an account within the city service area:• Submit a disconnection request for the current address via the web portal or fax and• Submit a new service request for the new address via the web portal or fax to 404.979.6787 Notification of receipt of the request will be issued within 1 business day after submission. If moving inside the city, all balances must be paid in full before services can be transferred.
